Let’s Inspire Values That Unites Us, Prince Magboh Tells Nigerians …As NICOT Celebrates Nigeria @ 61

The Nigerian Community Turkey (NICOT) has congratulated Nigerians on the 61st Independence Anniversary of the country and urged them to inspire the things that will unite them for a greater nation rather than divide them.

The president of NICOT, Prince Emre Magboh said this today, 1st October, 2021 at his office in Perpa, Istanbul – Turkey during an executive meeting with leaders of the community.

Addressing them on the significance of the Independence Day celebration, Prince Magboh reiterated his belief in the unity of Nigeria and called on all citizens to eschew bitterness, rancour, sentiments, emotions and drop all the differences and utilize collective interests that unite us for a greater Nigeria.

He stressed that though the country is currently faced with security, economic, religious, and ethnic challenges, he is optimistic that our collective hopes and imagination for our nation will surmount our current travails.

Sixty-one years ago, our founding fathers laid out a vision that their diverse strengths and gifts would coalesce into a formidable economy and regional force that will evolve into the largest aggregation of black people on earth and a beacon of hope to all peoples of African descent, long bruised by the afflictions of slavery and colonial exploitation.

The detribalized community leader charged Nigerians to work towards the prosperity of the country, pointing out that Nigeria can only be on the path of progress if the citizens support fairness, equity, and justice.

Prince Magboh harped on the need to admonish and encourage ourselves as we celebrate the 61st anniversary as a nation noting that when Nigeria prospers, we will also prosper.

He argued that great nations had faced challenges as he maintained that good governance, rule of law, tolerance, patriotism, social welfare, respect for human rights, and zero tolerance for corruption and indiscipline are the paths Nigerians must follow to make headway.

He advised Nigerians on the need to support our leaders and work together in unity, tolerance, sincerity, loyalty and patriotism to ensure that the nation lives up to its God-given potential.
