NICOT APPLAUDS MIN. FOR INTERIOR SULYMAN SOYLU FOR HIS STAND AGAINST RACISM IN TURKEY

Accolades and encomium from the President and members of Nigerian Community Turkey including other Africans resident in Turkey have continued to trail the Minister of Interior, Baskan Sulyman Soylu over his move against racial discrimination in Turkey recently.

The viral videos on social media of a man who was seen making racial statement against another man seated in the train with his family (African) generated lots of concerns but through the Minister of Interior the growing concern of racism in Turkey was doused as the racial biased man has been arrested by the police.

Reacting to the Minister of Interior’s decisive steps on the 11th July, 2022 from Antalya – Turkey, the President of Nigerian Community Turkey, Prince Emre Magboh thanked Baskan Sulyman Soylu for exhibiting profound sense of leadership and reminding others about the zero tolerance of racial discrimination as Turkey ranks among the top in the comity of Nations that fights against racial bias.

Prince Magboh added that joy filled the air when the news filtered in and many Africans can give a sigh of relief as a top ranked Government official in the person of Baskan Sulyman Soylu has made a bold statement by allowing Justice to prevail on the perpetrator and with his heart filled milk-of-human kindness he paid the victim (the African Family) a surprised visit to apologies on behalf of the Turkish Government.

The Nigerian Community President while saluting Baskan Sulyman Soylu enjoined other in the ruling class to emulate Baskan Sulyman Soylu’s leadership qualities, he prayed for his long and good reign in office as other Nigerians and Africans joined in praying for him and the Republic of Turkey.

Prince Magboh equally advised all Nigerians, members of NICOT and the entire African Communities to consistently obey the law and order of our host country, Turkey.

According to him, “I thank God for Baskan Sulyman Soylu, the Minister of Interior for making an emphatic statement as he took a general stand against racial discrimination as anyone thinking in that line is living In the past, we are all human created by Almighty God”, Prince Emre Magboh stated.

In the viral video on social media, a Turkish speaking man with some fluent English in his 50’s was seen ordering an African and his family in a train to (with use of the “F word”) get off beside him as he was seen physically jerking the African man shoulder to shoulder.

He repeatedly used the (“F” word) telling them to get to the other side of the train and go back to Africa as he dramatically directed all racial abuses to the Man sitting with his family as the African gazed with surprise without retaliation.

The racial abuser changed his seat position while still chanting racial abusive words and soon after he highlighted the train with a loud voice (“F” off).

In response to the above scene, the Minister of Interior, Baskan Sulyman Soylu was seen in the neighborhood of the victimized African and residents were seen xchanging banter with him. The reason for his visit also went viral as photographs of Baskan Sulyman Soylu and the family were seen in a photograph..

A final video surfaced of the racial abuser’s arrest by policemen recently.

Prince Magboh Joins Türkiye To Mark 6th Anniversary of 2016 Coup D’état Attempt

The President and members of Nigerian Community Turkey has joined to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the July 15 foiled coup across the country where some 251 persons were martyred at the hands of the FETÖ, a terror group loyal to Fethullah Gülen.

Speaking from Antalya today 15th July, 2022 the Prince Emre Magboh, narrated how FETÖ members within the Turkish Armed Forces tried to take over the government on July 15 by bombing the presidency, the Parliament and many other governmental institutions but was forestalled thousands of people hit the streets to stand against the coup plotters during the commemoration ceremony today 15th July, 2021.

Prince Magboh recalled the actions he witnessed during the failed coup and extolled the Turkish people for their patriotism and wisdom which they applied in averting the plans of the coup plotters adding that Turkish people remain pivotal in the fabric of Turkish democracy till date.

NICOT President however encouraged many developing nations of the world especially Nigeria to borrow a lief from the democratic experience that have enabled Turkey to remain ranked top in the comity of nations, especially now the 2023 elections are to be held.

He urged Nigerians resident in Turkey to join their host country in commemorating their victory in democracy and in furtherance advised Nigerians to always obey the laws as stipulated by the Turkish authorities.
