CAF Confederations Cup: It’s Too Early To Celebrate Enyimba’s Victory – Unuanel Warns

Former Kwara United Coach, Samson Unuanel has advised the technical crew and management of Enyimba not to celebrate the team’s victory in the CAF Confederations Cup after they defeated Libya’s Al Ahly Benghazi 2-1 on Wednesday.

Two first-half goals from Augustine Tunde Oladapo and Victor Mbaoma secured all three points for the Elephants over the Butchers in the first Group A clash.

Enyimba are currently top of Group A on 3 points after ES Setif and Orlando Pirates played out a goalless draw in the other group game.

Speaking with Completesports, Unuanel urged the team to focus on picking another vital point against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates on March 17.

“Enyimba’s victory against Libya’s Al Ahly Benghazi will serve as a big statement of intent of their determination to win the group. I am delighted that the team picked the maximum points to sit top of the group. However, they should not be carried away by this victory because there are still bigger tasks ahead.

“I believe in this team based on their performance against Al Ahly Benghazi and I pray they will come out victorious against Orlando Pirates.”
