A Nigerian lady simply identified as Chioma has shared photos of Biafra currencies she found in her father’s room. She posted photos of clean notes and coins used during the nation’s civil war that lasted from 6 July 1967 to 15 January 1970.
Posting the photos online, she wrote;
”Found ancient Biafran currencies in my fathers house ! These notes are over 60 years old and quite beautiful to say the least
Biafran pounds and shillings
50kobo and one Naira notes. Throwback to when these notes had value”
