Eddie Hearn insists Anthony Joshua’s £200million super-fight with Tyson Fury is “100 per cent happening”.
Hearn sent a proposal for the venue and date for the historic undisputed world heavyweight title clash to Fury’s camp on Sunday and says both sides are tweaking the final agreement.
Fans are concerned at the time it is taking to nail down the final details after Joshua and Fury verbally agreed a two-fight deal back in the summer.
But Hearn insists both sides are close to settling on a venue and date after months of negotiations.
When asked on Wednesday evening if talks had advanced this week, the new Match room Sport supremo said: “Only some more exchanged final drafts, more calls tonight.
“It’s as done as it can be. It’s non stop at the moment, but it’s happening, it’s 100 per cent happening.
“In the world today, people are more willing to be accepting and understanding rather than muck about with it. Let’s just get this done, I don’t think we will have any problems.”
