Boko Haram insurgents are still occupying Geidam – LG Chairman

Hon. Ali Kolo, Chairman of Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State has disclosed that Boko Haram insurgents are still occupying Geidam community. 

Kolo told newsmen that 72 hours after the town was invaded by Boko Haram, thousands of his people were still trapped and had been infiltrated by the sect members.

The LG Chairman who disclosed over 2,000 people who were displaced in the invasion are currently taking refuge in neighbouring Yunusari Local Government Area, also revealed that the insurgents killed two people yesterday morning, including a teacher with Kawuri Primary School, Mallam Baba Tazira.

ThisDay reported that Kolo also stressed that there was no truth in the report by the military that the attack had been repelled.
