Eid-il-Fitr celebration: NICOT President Felicitates With Muslims, Charge Them To Pray For Nigeria

As Muslims globally marks the Eid-il-Fitr celebration this year, the President and members of the Nigerian Community Turkey have congratulated them towards the commemoration of the Holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking to newsmen from his office in Istanbul last Wednesday 12th May, 2021, the President of the Nigerian community, Prince Emre Magboh noted that the Islamic Holy month of Ramadan known as ‘Ramazan’ in Turkey is a period when Muslim faithful undergo the Islamic teaching of fasting, prayer and offering of supplications to the Almighty Allah.

He pointed out that the celebration which used to be characterized by big family gatherings has not been so since late 2019 due to the advent of the dreaded corona-virus, that has lingered till date. To that end, he encouraged them to continue applying safety precautions until the pandemic is exterminated.

While extending heartwarming felicitations to his Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria, Prince Magboh urged Muslim faithful to always remember the country Nigeria and her people in their prayers, owing to the increased insecurity situation in the country today.

He charged all Nigerians to be patriotic and courageous, adding that being law abiding citizens through the spirit of love, self-discipline, tolerance and kindness as taught by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him), the battle against resurging insecurity and activities of criminal element in Nigeria will be extinguished.

According to him, ‘I whole heartedly congratulate my Muslim brothers and sisters all over the world especially in Turkey and Nigeria as you mark this years’ Eid-il-fitr celebration;

“I know these are perilous times owing to covid-19 which have grounded festivities and normal gatherings since 2020 till date, but as I join you to celebrate this year’s Eid-il-Fitr, I enjoin you to always remember to pray for Nigeria”.

Prince Magboh continued, “I believe that the teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) if put to practice, we will have no reasons to fight nor cause to do evil against a fellow brethren and peace will reign” he emphasized.
