Genk president Peter Croonen says he won’t stop Paul Onuachu from seeking a move elsewhere but insists the price must be right.
Onuachu has been linked with a number of top clubs in Europe following a stellar campaign for Genk.
The Nigeria international scored 33 goals and recorded five assists in 38 appearances for the Smurfs during the campaign.
The 26-year-old was named best player in the Belgian Pro League on Monday and also picked the Golden Bull award for emerging top scorer.
“Paul has played an exceptional season. So we really want to keep him. We have agreed that he can leave if the right circumstances arise,” Croonen was quoted by voetbalniews.be.
“So whether I can guarantee that he will stay? No, I cannot.”
