Northern governors warn against politicizing ex-presidential aide Ahmed Gulak’s murder

The Northern Governors Forum (NGF) has warned against politicizing the killing of former presidential aide, Ahmed Gulak, in Imo state on Sunday, May 30.

In a statement released by its chairman, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state, the governors condemned the killing, describing it as unfortunate and a criminal act that must be condemned and not politicized.

According to him, the report by the police indicates that they have identified and engaged the suspected killers of Gulak, and should further be consolidated upon to enable security agencies to forestall future occurrences.

“The killing of Gulak must be seen as a criminal act and treated as such, warning against insinuations and politicisation that could lead to further violence.”the governor in the statement said
