Nigerian MMA fighter, Israel Adesanya to take on Italy’s Marvin Vettori on Saturday Night

Nigerian-born New Zealand professional mixed martial fighter will take on Italy’s Marvin Vettori this weekend to defend his title following a failed attempt to win a second belt from UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz in March.

The setback marked the first loss of Adesanya’s MMA career, but the UFC middleweight champion will have to defend his title against Marvin Vettori at the UFC 263 in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday, June 12.

The pair met once before in April 2018 with Adesanya earning a split decision victory.

In the co-main event, Deiveson Figueiredo will defend his flyweight championship against Brandon Moreno. The two men fought to a draw this past December.
