Nigerian Community Turkey Felicitate With Muslims On Eid-al-Adha

The Executive and Members of the Nigerian Community Turkey have joined their brethrens all over the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-al-Adha (Kurban Bayram) holiday.

In a statement released by the office of the President NICOT last Friday 16th July, 2021, Prince Emre Magboh, he disclosed that the Muslim festivity (The Celebration of Sacrifice) is to honor the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to God’s command before God provided a lamb to be sacrificed instead.

Prince Magboh explained that Eid-al-Adha which is usually characterized by love and sharing of food and monies to friends and the needy, especially with large family gatherings is also the second most important festival in the Muslim calendar that marks the end of the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Makkah (Mecca).

Celebrating with them, Prince Magboh enjoined them to remember Nigeria in prayers as they bask in the euphoria of the Eid-al-Adha holidays.

He also reminded them of the fight against the dreaded coronavirus pandemic, and charged them on adherence to the precautionary measures to curtailing further spread.

He extolled the Turkish Government for her effort in combating the pandemic.

Prince Magboh wished them journey mercies as they travel to celebrate with families and loved ones, as he urged Nigerians resident in Turkey to remain Law abiding to the authorities/government of Turkey.

The statement reads, “Happy Eid-al-Adha holidays (Kurban Bayram) to our Muslim brothers and sisters all over the World. As we enjoy this festive holiday, it’s paramount that we obey the Laws of our host country (Turkey), avoid unnecessary gathering including protests, and apply safety measures against the perceived 3rd wave of the dreaded coronavirus Delta variant. May the blessing of Almighty God through Eid-al-Adha Holiday (Kurban Bayram) fill your homes with joy and peace”.
