NICOT Joins Turkey To Mark Victory Day Celebration

The Nigerian Community Turkey, NICOT has joined their host Nation, Turkey to mark this year’s independence war victory day celebration.

In a release made available to our reporter, the leadership of the community in Turkey through its President Prince Emre Magboh stated that this year’s celebration marks the 99th anniversary when the Turkish armies succeeded in the great offensive under the leadership of Mustafa Kamel Ataturk against the Greek forces on this day almost a century ago, August, 30 1922.

According to the community’s statements, their knowledge of Turkish history has it that Mustafa Kamel Atatur was the Commander-In Chief of the of Turkey’s ‘War of Independence‘ and founder of the Turkish Republic.

The community applauded the charisma and patriotism exhibited by the Turkish citizens and advised Nigerians world over to borrow a leaf from the Turks for their show of devotion and vigorous support to country and nationhood.

They however reminded all registered members that the electioneering process has commenced for interested participants who picked the nomination form and the election still remains on the 11th of September, 2021.
