We make 80k daily from pickpocketing – Suspects confess after being arrested in Lagos

Two suspected serial pickpockets have been arrested in Lagos state.

The suspects, one Sodiq Olagoke, 25, and Lucas Patrick, 26 were both arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Taskforce in the early hours of Tuesday, March 1.

They had dispossessed eight unsuspecting commuters of their phones around Oshodi/Ikeja Along axis before they were arrested.

The Taskforce officers who made the arrest said the suspects, who were roaming the area in their Danfo commercial bus, looked suspicious. The driver and the two male passengers seemed uneasy after driving past the officers.

The Lagos State Taskforce Chairman, CSP Shola Jejeloye said today, March 2, that the suspects disclosed they make 80,000 Naira daily from their operations, using commercial vehicle (Danfo) as a guise.

Jejeloye vowed that the Agency will make the state uninhabitable for all criminal elements.
