Labour Party suspends Youth Leader over alleged forgery

Eragbe Anslem, Youth Leader of the Labour Party has been suspended over alleged forgery and usurping the functions of the National Chairman and Secretary of the party.

His suspension was announced by Comrade Arabambi Abayomi, National Publicity Secretary of Labour Party on Friday, October 21.

Addressing newsmen at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, Abayomi accused Anslem of issuing certificates to groups unknown to the leadership of the party without the approval of the National Working Committee or the National Chairman.

LP’s National Secretary further revealed that Anslem who has been replaced by Prince Kennedy Ahanotu in acting capacity was summoned to appear before the National Working Committee (NWC) but he was unable to defend himself. He has now been suspended for six months.

Ahanotu who was presented to the media as the new Youth leader, promised to be loyal to the party and work for its success in the 2023 general elections.
