Peter Obi defeats Bola Tinubu in the presidential election conducted in Lagos state

Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has defeated All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in Lagos state.

The former Governor of Anambra state and candidate of the Labour Party polled 582,354 votes to defeat his closest rival and All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu who polled 572,606 votes.

PDP got a total of 75750 votes while NNPC polled 8442.

Accredited voters: 1,347152

Total Valid Votes: 1271451

Rejected votes: 64278

Total votrs cast:1,335729

Tinubu was a two-term Governor in Lagos state.
