Ministerial Nominee slumps during screening

There was pandemonium at the Senate chambers this afternoon after the Ministerial nominee for Kaduna state, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, slumped while being screened by the Senate on Wednesday, October 4.

Lawal whose name was submitted alongside two others for screening by President Tinubu on Tuesday, October 4, fell to the floor while he was being questionned by the lawmakers.

He was the second nominee to be screened. He had finished making his presentation to the lawmakers and was about taking questions from them when he fell to the floor.

The Senate went into a closed door session while efforts were being made to revive the nominee who was inside the chamber.
