Comedian AY apologizes over ‘small preek’ joke he made towards Davido

Award-winning comedian, Ayo Makun better known as AY has tendered an apology to singer, Davido for making an “insensitive” joke about him.

During a recent performance at a Warri concert, AY made Davido the subject of his joke, as he commented on Davido’s multiple baby mamas.

He described the singer as having a “small penis,” which he uses to father children with different women.

AY then claimed to possess a “big dick” but fathered only two children with considerable gaps between their births. He expressed surprise at how Davido could have so many kids despite having a small penis.

Davido’s fans criticized AY for making such personal remarks about Davido and his family with many commenting that it was in poor taste.

Taking to his Instagram on Sunday, October 8, AY noted how Davido had all right to be angry with him, and apologized.

“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore. It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of the US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.

Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash or negative thoughts coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido”.

Davido, in the comment section, wrote: “Nothing spoil baba mi.”
