N100 being collected by some policemen on the road is embarrassing and does not portray police in a good light – Police spokesperson, Adejobi

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has said the act of police officers collecting N100 or any amount from motorists across the country is totally embarrassing and does not in any way portray the police force in a good light.

While responding to a question by an X user on why police officers demand and collect such money from motorists, Adejobi said it is unacceptable and is a case of pure corruption. He stated that the IGP has since initiated a monitoring team to curb this unacceptable act of the officers.
