Otto Addo to return as Black Stars Coach ahead of Clash with Super Eagles

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to announce the reappointment of Otto Addo as the Black Stars’ new head coach on Friday, March 15, 2024.

According to reports from the Ghanaian sports website, footballghana, the GFA has handed Addo a long-term contract.

Remember Chris Hughton was sacked due to the Black Stars’ poor performance at the AFCON 2023.

Ghana crashed out in the group stage after failing to win any of their three fixtures.

If appointed, Addo’s first assignment will be against Uganda and Nigeria in an international friendly in Marrakech, Morocco in March 2024.

He was in charge when the Black Stars pipped the Eagles to the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying ticket.

In his first stint as Black Stars coach, Addo was in charge of 12 games and recorded four wins, four draws and four defeats.
