Fmr Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, dumps PDP for APC

Former Senate President and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has dumped the opposition party and joined the ruling, All Progressives Congress, APC.

Anyim declared for the APC at an event in Abkaliki where the National Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Ganduje received high profile persons who joined the Party in Ebonyi State today July 13.

Anyim who served as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation under the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, had also contested the 2022 presidential primary election of Peoples Democratic Party where he secured only 14 votes.

He represented Ebonyi South Senatorial District between 1999 to 2003 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP where he was elected the President of the Senate.
