Sözer is considered Labbadia’s most reliable assistant and is likely to be his first choice once he comes to Abuja.

The pair worked together at several clubs including Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart, VfL Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin.

Former centre-back Trares started working with Labbadia in 2015 in Hamburg and continued their partnership at VfB Stuttgart.
