Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen has picked his assistants from the NPFL ahead of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Eguavoen named Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogumodede as his assistants in the dugout.
Ilechukwu led Enugu Rangers to win the NPFL championship last season, while Ogunmodede, 44, has qualified Remo Stars for continental football in the last two years.
The appointments come after the NFF’s negotiations with German manager, Bruno Labbadia broke down over tax-related issues, leading them to turn to the experienced Eguavoen to take charge of the Super Eagles on an interim basis for the upcoming internationals.
