Nigerians unfollowing Napoli and following Galatasaray on IG after Victor Osimhen’s move to the Turkish club

Nigerians have started unfollowing Napoli and following Galatasaray on Instagram after Victor Osimhen’s successful move to the Turkish club.

The Nigeria international, 25, was frozen out of Antonio Conte’s squad over the summer after his moves to Chelsea and Al-Ahli broke down before the window closed. He was later removed from the squad list after the chaotic transfer deadline day, which saw him fail to agree on a move to either Chelsea or Al-Ahli.

Two days later, Turkish club, Galatasaray reached an agreement with Napoli to sign Victor Osimhen on loan. The Süper Lig champions agreed to cover the salary of the 25-year-old in full.

On Wednesday, September 5, Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli on a season-long loan deal, with the Turkish club to pay a net seasonal salary of 6,000,000 euros” for the move.

Following the successful move, some Nigerians have been trolling and unfollowing the Italian club on Instagram over how they handled Victor Osimhen’s transfer saga.

Galatasaray, on the other hand, has gained thousands of followers on its social media accounts
