The police engaged the services of the locals in the area who finally convinced the man to come down on Saturday night.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Nguruje, who confirmed the incident to Punch on Sunday evening, September 29, said that the man is in protective custody of the Criminal Investigating Department.

“The command is going to parade the man on Monday for attempting a suicide, You know attempting to commit a suicide is a criminal offence under our constitution, so we are going to charge him to court, ” the PPRO said.
