Former Super Eagles Striker Brown Ideye Set To join NPFL club Rivers United

Former Super Eagles forward, Brown Ideye is set to join Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Rivers United.

According to reports, 36 year old Ideye was spotted in training with Rivers United this week.He last played for Kuwaiti club Al-Yarmouk.

Reacting to reports of an imminent move, Rivers United head coach, Finidi George said he is willing to welcome Ideye to the club.

“There is every likelihood that he’ll join us. He wants to give back, that’s the most important thing,” declared Finidi.

“He has that hunger, we’ve seen Ahmed Musa, and if he’s willing to do that, I think we’ll welcome him.”

During his career, Ideye played for clubs in France, Ukraine, England, Greece and Switzerland.
