Christmas: NICOT President doles out food items and cash worth N2.2 million to less privileged persons

The founder of Divine Skyhope Foundation and the President of the Nigerian Community Turkiye, Ambassador Prince Emre Magboh in the spirit of Christmas urges well-to-do individuals and good-spirited Nigerians to imbibe the act of giving cheerfully.

Ambassador Magboh stated this last Saturday, December 21st, 2024, at the Divine Skyhope Foundation Christmas outreach program in the capital city of Enugu State, where less privileged persons were selected from all over the state.

The Peace Ambassador Highlighted that the Divine Skyhope Foundation is a non-governmental organization aimed at helping and supporting the less privileged in society.

The NICOT President applauded barrister Chizoba Agbo, the Vice Chairman of Divine Skyhope Foundation, for her good works in helping the less privileged in the state.

Amb. Magboh gave brief accounts of his humble beginning and how he hawked on the street of Enugu for his family to get by the day.

According to him, “Never lose hope in life because a man who is poor today can be great tomorrow”, he continued, “I am a living testimony, back then I hawked on the streets of Enugu but today, I am grateful to God. I’ll do my part in giving and God has never ceased to bless me”, he submitted.

In appreciation of the huge turnout, Amb. Magboh promised to do his best to ensure that the Divine SkyHope Foundation reach out to all who deserve it.

In an address, the Co-founder of Divine SkyHope Foundation, Bar Chizoba Agbo, shared her passion for helping those in need, she emphasized the importance of treating every child with care and love, drawing from her own experience of abuse.

She further implored the audience to stand for what is right, avoid humiliating others, and treat those less fortunate with kindness and empathy.

She also shared her desire to access funds to tackle Gender-Based Violence, which she sees as a significant problem in Nigeria.

Chief Onyekachi Okereke, a friend of the Divine SkyHope Founder, also expressed his support for the Foundation’s noble mission and pledged his assistance.

The foundation solicited aid for one of the beneficiaries who is visually impaired, Miss Clara Onyeke from Opi Nsukka, a History and International Studies graduate from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, but currently a beggar in Enugu State, the aid is to start up a venture that will help her manage her life.

The highlight of the event was cutting the Divine Skyhope Foundation anniversary cake with the representatives of different groups as each attendee went home with cash gifts, bags of rice tubers of yam and cash.
