Fuel subsidy removal was done to protect your future, ‘Look me in the face, tell me what’s wrong’ – President Tinubu tells Nigerian Youths

President Bola Tinubu says that every decision he has taken so far, including the removal of the fuel subsidy, is about Nigerian youths and their future.

The President stated this while speaking at the inauguration of the Planning Committee for the National Youth Conference at the State House, Abuja.

In his words

“I want to reassure you that you are the hope of this country, and everything hangs on you. Every decision that I have taken is about you. It’s about the future. When we removed the fuel subsidy, it was because we wanted to protect your future. We have cleared the path for you to have a great future.

When you listen to most professionals leaving Nigeria, there’s a cause. If you grow prosperity back home and empower people, they will not bother leaving. They will stay home.”

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has urged young Nigerians to engage directly with his administration, emphasising his openness to feedback and constructive dialogue.

The President said this today, March 10 while speaking at the inauguration of the National Youth Congress Planning Committee at the State House, Abuja.

In his speech, President Tinubu said;

“Look at me in the face, tell me whatever you think is wrong and the way you want things done. We’ll try to implement all of it as long as it is for the prosperity of this country.”

The President acknowledged the economic challenges that have plagued the country, but expressed optimism that ongoing reforms were yielding results.
