Fire outbreak at Onitsha plastic market

Traders at the popular plastic market in Onitsha, Anambra state are currently counting their losses after a fire broke out at one of the plazas in the market in the early hours of today, March 5.

Police operatives led by DPO CPS Onitsha SP Ifeanyi Iburu quickly mobilized to the scene and cordoned off the Area to prevent looting and further catastrophe. The state Fire Service was equally contacted and they responded promptly to put out the fire.

No loss of life and no injury have been reported

The cause of the fire outbreak is yet unknown.
