Gunmen strikes again, abducts 19 persons in a community in Niger state

No fewer than (19) nineteen persons have reportedly been abducted by unknown gunmen in Kutunku village in Wushishi local government area of Niger state today March 8.

The Nation reports that those abducted include eleven males and eight females including two would-be brides who are to get married this weekend.

Residents say the gunmen stormed the village in motorcycles shooting sporadically. The assailants were said to have ransacked houses and carted away a lot of money and foodstuff.

The state police command is yet to comment on the incident.
