2023: INEC denies reverting to manual collection of results

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has denied reports claiming it has reverted to the manual collection of results.

In a statement released this afternoon, the commission said its explanation on the result management procedure for the 2023 general election was misconstrued by a section of the media to mean it has jettisoned electronic collation of results.

In the statement released by its spokesperson, Festus Okoye, the commission said electronic collation of results is here to stay.
