CAN Plateau State chapter stage peace walk to state government house to protest against killings

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Plateau State held a peace walk on Monday, Jan. 8, to express displeasure against the continuous killings in the state and other parts of the country.

The rally tagged, ‘Plateau Peace Walk’, was led by the CAN chairman in the state, Rev Polycarp Lubo, in the company of the President of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev Dr Stephen Panya.

Other Christian leaders also joined the rally as they walked to the Government House in Rayfield, Jos.

When they arrived, the Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang received the crowd.

Recall that insurgents killed over 200 people during coordinated Christmas Eve attacks in the Bokkos and the Barkin Ladi local government areas in Plateau State.
