Labour strike stops eight Super Eagles players from joining their colleagues at Uyo camp ahead of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers match

The ongoing organized labour strike has reportedly stopped eight Super Eagles players from joining their colleagues in camp ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Super Eagles’ Media Office confirmed the development on Monday, June 3. The affected players are Maduka Okoye, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, and Paul Onuachu.

The statement added;

“They are in the country but unable to arrive in camp because of the ongoing Nigeria Labour Congress strike, which has stalled domestic flights”
