Footballer, Brown Ideye knocks Nigerian football agents

Former Super Eagles forward, Brown Ideye has expressed disappointment at the increasing trend of top players from the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, players leaving the country for lesser-known leagues due to their agents.

Castigating the trend, Ideye said such transfers are is detrimental to the future career prospects of Nigerian players .

The Former Olympiacos and West Brom striker who now plays for Enyimba, reacted to the transfer of Remo Stars right-back Sodiq Ismail to Albanian, club FK Partizani.

Sodiq was one of the standout performers in the NPFL last season.

“It’s really sad how all these agents ship out our young stars to start their careers. Are they really thinking of the future of the players?,” Ideye wrote on X.

“It’s better to start in a second division club in France, Spain or Germany where you can easily be seen by other top clubs.” he added
