Alcohol, animals, Illegal substances and other items prohibited inside AFCON 2025 stadiums

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released a comprehensive list of items that will not be allowed inside tournament stadiums.

According to the guidelines cited on CAF’s website, the move is part of heightened security measures designed to ensure the safety of spectators and smooth operations throughout the competition.

CAF say that all fans attending AFCON 2025 matches will go through security screenings before entering stadiums.

They are advised not to bring prohibited items into stadiums to ensure safety, order, and a smooth match-day experience.

The 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations will kick off in Morocco on 21 December and last until 18 January 2026.
