Suspected Fulani men caught with gun were hunters – Anambra Police spokesperson

Following a recent video on social media of two men who were apprehended at a popular motor park in Upper Iweka Onitsha earlier in the week, the Anambra police command has in a statement cleared the air regarding the their identity and purpose of carrying/bearing fire arms.

According to the Anambra state police command through a spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, he revealed that the viral video of the said Fulani men who were caught with guns at Abuja park in Upper Iweka, Anambra state were hunters who were on their way to meet their colleagues.

Haruna Mohammed in a statement made available to press added that the incident occurred last Sunday and they’ve verified their identities. 

Mohammed further revealed that the men According to Haruna Mohammed; “they were hunters going to meet their colleagues and the incident took place on Sunday. Police rescued them”.
