Man accused of leaking information that led to the death of ESN Commander, Ikonso denies the allegation

A social media user who was accused of giving of information that led to the killing of IPOB/ESN Commander, Ikonso Don has denied the allegation.

Sahara Reporters had reported that Nigerian Army‘s operation against the Eastern Security Network and Indigenous People of Biafra in Awomama Village, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State was aided by local informants which led to the killing of the top commander, Ikonso Don.

IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful had also said on Sunday April 25 that Ikonso was ambushed. Powerful said;

“Saturday, our commander went to his village. They ambushed him with some politicians. They ordered the military to kill him. In Imo State, they arrested more than 50 people. They have been going to people’s houses to arrest them; in Anambra, they arrested so many people; in Abia, they arrested so many people.”

However a social media user who has been accused of giving out the information that led to Ikonso’s killing has countered the allegation.

Zonaboy Obi who admitted having disagreements with Ikonso online, said it never got physical while describing the late IPOB commander as his brother.

He stated that IPOB members should be looking for ways to mourn Ikonso and ensure his family is taken care of, instead of putting out blames.
