Four killed as gunmen raze another police station in Imo

Less than 24 hours after gunmen razed down the Atta police station in Njaba local government area of Imo state, another police station in Izombe in Oguta local government area has been razed by some unknown gunmen.

A statement released by Bala Elakana, spokesperson of the state police command, says the gunmen burnt the police station at about 7pm on Saturday night, May 29. He added that four hoodlums were neutralized during the attack while others escaped with bullet wounds.

Bala added that the Commissioner of Police, Imo State, CP Abutu Yaro, commended the men for their abiding faith in defence of the public space and urged them to be resilient in this fight, until the enemies of the people are totally defeated.
