Armed robber arrested in Bayelsa

A suspected armed robber identified as 23-year-old  Merit Salvation, has been arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command, Azikoro Division. 

A locally-made pistol and three 9mm ammunition were recovered from the suspect whose arrest was effected in collaboration with youth leaders and vigilantes from Akaba community, in Yenagoa, the state’s capital.

The suspect is cooperating with the Police in its investigation. Bayelsa police spokesperson said; 

“On 23rd August 2021, while on patrol at Akaba community at about 0230 hours, Police operatives arrested the suspect one Merit Salvation ‘m’ 23 years, in possession of a locally made pistol and three .9mm ammunition”.

Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng E. Echeng also advised residents to always volunteer useful information that will assist the police in fishing out criminals in the state.
