NASS transmits Electoral Bill to Buhari for assent

The Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill was on Monday January 31, transmitted to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Arch. Olatunde Amos Ojo.

A source told The Nation that the Bill is now with the President. It is however uncertain if the President would assent to the reworked Bill.

This is coming amid report of Governors not being happy with the new amends, and planning to prevail on the President not to sign it.
