Invest in property, the value appreciates – Super Eagles legend, Finidi George advises Nigerian footballers

Super Eagles legend and Enyimba coach, George Finidi, has advised Nigerian footballers to invest more in properties when they retire from active football to avoid struggling financially after their football careers

The former Ajax winger warned against players investing in businesses they know nothing about.

“My best advice for active players now is to invest in property because it’s the best way to secure their money as the value appreciates and they will have something to fall back on,” Finidi said.

“If they invest in business that they are not sure of they will have problems.”

George Finidi was appointed head coach of Enyimba FC in September 2021, and led the Elephants to their ninth Nigerian Professional Football League title in May 2023.
