Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala denounces ‘fake news’ credited to her

The Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has alerted the public on what she termed ‘fake news’ item circulating on the social media purportedly made by her.

According to the ‘fake news’, the former Nigeria’s Minister of Finance had commended President Buhari for “doing marvelously well unlike his predecessor Goodluck Jonathan, who was overpowered by the Governor’s Forum”

In the statement posted on her official social media pages on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, Okonjo-Iweala gave a warning to those proliferating fake news.

“Please be aware: This is one of the periodic pieces of information circulated about me which I absolutely did not initiate. Those proliferating fake news, be warned” she stated.
