IPOB charges South-East governors to deal with anyone caught restricting movement in the SE

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said it is not responsible for enforcing sit-at-home on Mondays in the South East as this exercise has been scrapped since Sept. 19, 2021.

The group said it is worried by the “senseless shooting in Enugu State on Monday by hoodlums and cultists” and called on the South-East Governors to deal with people still enforcing a sit-at-home many months after it banned it.

The group alleged that those people still enforcing the sit-at-home order were recruited and sponsored by some evil politicians in the state who derive joy in spilling the blood of their fellow citizens.

In a statement, the Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, said IPOB has explained multiple times that it had not authorized anybody to enforce Monday sit-at-home which was suspended since September 19, 2021.

The group said those still restricting the movement of citizens on Mondays are doing so to blackmail IPOB.

IPOB added that anybody unleashing sorrow on innocent citizens under the guise of enforcing sit-at-home order is a criminal and does not deserve pity.

“Our people should stand firm in the fight for their liberty. IPOB did not ask anybody to enforce Sit-At-Home of any kind,” the secessionist group stated.

IPOB warned that henceforth, ESN operatives will go after those criminals unleashing mayhem in the South East in the name of enforcing a non-existent Monday sit-at-home order.
