Chelsea have qualified for this season’s UEFA Champions League Final after defeating Real Madrid 2-0 in Wednesday’s second leg semi-finals at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea progressed 3-1 on aggregate after holding Madrid to a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
It is their first final appearance since 2012 when they beat Bayern Munich on penalties to lift their first title.
This season’s final will see an all-England clash as Chelsea will face Manchester City.
Timo Werner, who earlier had a goal disallowed for offside, headed the Blues ahead on 28 minutes after Kai Havertz’s chip rebounded off the bar.
And with five minutes left Mason Mount doubles Chelsea’s lead after tapping in from close range off Christian Pulisic cross.
The Europa League final could also feature two English sides as Arsenal and Manchester United play the second leg of their semi-finals against Villarreal and Roma respectively on Thursday.
