Revealed: Suicide note of 29-year-old Nigerian who died in Istanbul, laid to rest

Reasons that led to the death of Fred Omorogbe, a 29-year-old Nigerian who hails from Edo State, Nigeria remains an unfortunate mystery as many wonders why a young man in his prime will decide to end his own life by taking a dive from the fifth floor of his apartment at Esenyurt in Istanbul, Turkey.

According to eye witness account, close friends of the deceased stated that Omorogbe’s death came to them as a shock. They noted that informatıon surrounding his death is already in the public domain and had remained that ‘he commıtted suicide’ the reasons behind his decision were unknown.

A text message was found on his phone (Suicide note) and sent to a frıend, which speculates that his death may have been linked to depression.

According to extracts of the text message, Mr. Omorogbe may have been obsessed about something which probably relates to peer group, relationship and trust issues, he extended his love to his family and friend, wishing that he could do more.

The message reads:

“I hope this gets across to the right people

anyway, to the people who ever genuinely

supported me, friends and famıly i love you

it hasn’t been easy but i am happy to met

some of you, i learnt that things aren’t always

the way it seems

not to blame anyone but watch the company

you keep and the people you render help to as

some don’t have same intentions as you

do (Trust nobody)

i am not a saint myself so if i ever wronged

anybody i hope you find it in your heart to

forgive me and pray for me

take care of mama for me and i pray she finds

the strength to keep being the sweet person

she is

to my Lil cousıns, Loveth, Henry, Sopriye and

Lolade, i love you guys so so much and i

Wısh i could do more for you guys

I hope thıs decision takes the pains away and i

find rest and peace of mind that i always

Wanted!

Be kind always ….love and light’

Meanwhile, Mr. Omorogbe has been laid to rest at the Kilyos Mezarligi cemetery in Istanbul, Turkey. At the funeral held on Monday 22nd of February, 2021, Pastor Amaechi Joe of RCCG in his sermon urged all attendees to do away from sins so that the Lords mercies will always be upon us. He prayed that every of our time and life here on earth will bring us closer to our creator.

Speaking, representative of the family, Mr. Kelly expressed sadness over the death of Omorogbe and prayed that Nigerian’s in Turkey never face such fate. He thanked all for their show, support and solidarity.
