Aisha Buhari breaks silence; congratulate Nigerian Women on International Women’s day, calls for an end in the menace of abduction

Aisha Buhari, the first lady of Nigeria, has sent a goodwill message to Nigerian women, congratulating them on the occasion of the 2021 International Women’s Day.

Mrs Buhari has been silent since September 2020 after her daughter, Hanan’s wedding.

In her goodwill message, Mrs. Buhari condemned the abduction of schoolgirls in some parts of the country, saying it might have an adverse effect on the girl child’s education as well as early marriage. She called on all stakeholders to join forces to bring an end to the menace of abduction.
