Police rescue man picking human faeces near Osun school from mob

The police on Friday May 21, rescued a 30-year-old man identified as Wasiu Olasukomi from a mob in Ede, Osun State after he was allegedly caught picking dried human faeces. 

The incident which attracted a crowd, occurred around 10:30am. The man was said to be putting the dried human faeces into a bag, raising suspicion of it being for ritual purposes.

The police reportedly intervened after the angry mob including students attempted to lynch the suspect. 

Spokesperson of Osun police command, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident and also disclosed that five people were arrested for attacking police officers. She said the matter is being investigated.
