Boko Haram terrorists reportedly abduct travelers along Damaturu-Maiduguri road

Some travellers were on Wedneday May 26, abducted by Boko Haram terrorists along the Damaturu-Maiduguri Road.

The incident occurred at about 9 am, two hours after the road which is usually shut between 4pm to 7am due to security concerns, was opened to commuters.

Eyewitnesses told Channels Television that the insurgents mounted a roadblock around Mainok town, roughly 55 kilometers away from Maiduguri.

Upon arrival, they reportedly opened fire on commuting vehicles some of which escaped, but an unlucky passenger bus drove into the hands of the criminals who had by then mounted a checkpoint.
