Uzodinma Pays Condolence Visit Gulak’s Family In Adamawa

By Onyekachi Eze
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has paid a condolence visit to the family of late politician, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak in his home town of Adamawa State.
Ahmed Gulak was assassinated two weeks ago in Owerri, Imo State on his way to the Sam Mbakwe airport, to board an aircraft back to Abuja, before he met his untimely death.
Since then, Condolence messages and visits have been thronging in from friends and associates, especially politicians to the late Gulak’s family.
Recall that Gulak was a political Adviser to former Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan.
He was the Imo State Electoral Chairman for the 2019 Primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
However, Governor Uzodinma who could be said to be a major beneficiary of the election yesterday visited Gulak’s family to sympathize with them.
In his speech, Uzodinma described Gulak as an astute politician who never derailed from truth and unity.
He urged the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Responding on behalf of the family, the first son of Gulak, Dr Mustapha thanked the governor for identifying with them in time of their grief.
Meanwhile, majority of Imolites who heard about the Executive visit called on the governor to extend similar gesture towards families whose loved ones were also killed in the ravaging Imo State insecurity situation.
