“Ilu oshi”- Super Eagles star throws Nigeria Immigration Service under the bus

Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru has resumed training with Adana Demirspor ahead of their big Turkish Super Lig clash against Galatasaray on Saturday.

The Nigerian striker did not take any prisoners, as he used strong words against the immigration system in the country

Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru took to social media to criticize Nigeria for their slow immigration system when juxtaposed with the Turkish Immigration System.

Onyekuru has had a great time in Turkey since his season-long loan move to Adana Demirspor, scoring four goals and assisting two in twelve appearances.

However, off the pitch, the Nigerian hasn’t exactly replicated that same brilliance.

In a social media post, the 25-year-old used strong words to condemn Nigeria’s immigration system.

Judging from his post, he had to wait for about three months to get his passport in Lagos. However, he needed just three hours to secure his passport in Turkey.

Onyekuru has 16 caps for the Super Eagles. He has also played for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations. Still, he took no prisoners, calling Nigeria “ilu oshi” (useless/bad) country.

The Nigeria Immigration Service actually needs to get better, but it is shocking for a National team player to completely throw the system under the bus publicly.
