Nationwide census to hold from March 29 to April 2

The National Population Commission (NPC) has fixed the national population and housing census for March 29 to April 2, 2023.

Chairman of the National Population Commission, Nasir Kwarra made the announcement shortly after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari at the state house in Abuja.

Kwarra said;

“By March 29 to April 2, our staff will be in the field enumerating people.”

The NPC Chairman said the technological tools to be deployed will be able to code buildings and landmass, detailing information such as location, landscapes, etc.

Assuring Nigerians that it would be a credible exercise, Kwarra further revealed that non-Nigerians will be counted so long as they are in the country at the time of the exercise.
